MILESTONE PROJECTS

Projects/Assignments & Due Dates:

Three milestone projects are assigned during the semester, working in parallel to weekly practice assignments. Each project will bring together holistic learning of CAD software, fabrication techniques, inspiration, writing, storytelling and presentation.

Below are the Milestone Projects for this course.

Project 1: 2D Surface Design Study
Students will utilize geometry CAD tools to generate surface design tessellations.

Project 2: 3D Model Design Object
Students will digitize (3D model with high dimensional accuracy) a real-world object, creating a digital assembly in CAD. If time permits, the object will also be fabricated.

Project 3: Game Set / or Design of Choice
Students will design and fabricate a custom object of their choice, relevant to their major or field of interest.
